While live-action Batman won't be appearing on the big screen until Ben Affleck dons the cowl for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel, Bruce Wayne will be getting the television treatment (sort of) when Fox airs their newest series Gotham. Ben McKenzie plays young detective Jim Gordon, destined to fight the up-and-coming class of supervillains on his own until Batman comes along to show him how it's done. Fox announced a series order for Gotham already, and the production team and casting choices are certainly enticing. Hopefully Gotham will find a way to make the city and the characters interesting long before Bruce Wayne ever dons the cape and cowl. A teaser trailer for Gotham aired during the premiere of 24: Live Another Day, and the extended trailer was online shortly after.
