10 Batman Sidekicks Everyone Forgets

Although Batwing may be moderately well known by superhero fans, it still stands to question that, should you ask the majority of people who like Batman who he is, most would have one response: "who the hell is Batwing"?

Initially a title held by David Zavimbe, the mantle of Batwing would be passed to Luke Fox, son of Batman's permanent friend and technological assistant Lucius Fox. A MIT graduate who had taken up MMA, Luke was a natural fit to replace the retiring Zavimbe, and as such Batman immediately asked him to take the job.

While this largely leaves Luke out being the Batman of Africa, he often returns home to Gotham to assist the Batfamily with any ongoing issues, such as when he returned to stop the Joker's Daughter in her attempt to resurrect her father. When things get crazy, there's a good chance that Batwing will be the only person who isn't adopted that Batman will call on - which makes him kind of a big deal, all things considered.
