10 Beloved Comic Book Characters Movie Fans Hate

Mr Freeze is a Batman villain who underwent one of the biggest changes in the history of the Caped Crusaders run in popular media. Brilliantly reimagined in the amazing animated series during the 1990s Heart Of Ice storyline, which transformed Freeze into one of the most menacing, but also, more tragic of rogues the Dark Knight could face.

So to no one's surprise at all this had to be turned into a completely ham-fisted, sorry excuse for a live-action adaptation by none other than the Governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1998's diabolical Batman & Robin.

Arnie was completely miscast in the role, delivering puns at any opportunity, wearing a campy suit that made him look more like a giant blue light-bulb then a serious villain, and displaying none of the cold-hearted detachment and villainy that really made the character stand out in the comics, or the animated series.

In a film as blatantly awful as Batman & Robin, it should be no surprise that it was panned by just about everyone and their mother who went to see it and left Mr Freeze very much out in the cold, and out of contention for any future appearances in live-action down the line.
