10 Beloved DC Comics Due For A Comeback

You might not know who Black Adam is but chances are you've already seen him in theatres. He was the former, dark warrior who fought for the wizard Shazam before falling, and becoming a villain.

He was seen for a split second in the film Shazam, but he's already been cast -- and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is playing him. Rumor is he's going to even fight against Superman before taking on Shazam.

Which is why now is the perfect time for a Black Adam series. Like Shazam, he is getting his own film, but unlike Shazam he did not recently receive a brand new comic written by the connective tissue of the DC film division and the DC Comics - Geoff Johns.

However, he has had his own comics before, showcasing him as an anti-hero, a King fighting for his people, rather than an outright villain. With the DCEU preparing to bring Black Adam into their world as perhaps the strongest baddie, a Black Adam comic would explode.
