10 Beloved DC Comics Due For A Comeback
2. Superboy
Superboy is a character that has a long, strange history.
He started out as a character named Superboy, and that was just Clark Kent as a child. Eventually, his young form got to stretch his legs by travelling throughout time as a hero of renown. Then there's the clone Superboy who first appeared after the death of Superman, before finding his way with other edgy eighties heroes. And then there's Jon Kent, the son of Superman, who became Superboy to help his family and his Earth.
A comic book about any one of those heroes would be a blockbuster hit. Superboy is a character that has the powers of Superman, but for once a believable weakness - being an unsure kid. It's a fantastic series that always has deserved more love.
Although, to be honest, what really should come around is a Superboys comic. After all, there are three different Superboys in DC continuity right now - a pre-adult Superman, who travels with the Legion of Super-Heroes, a clone of Lex Luthor and Clark Kent who has fought against those who would use him and joined up with the Teen Titans, and the best friend of Batman's son, a teenager who is the flesh and blood son of Superman and Lois Lane.
Imagine a comic with the three of them - the Superboys.
