10 Best Comic Books Of 2020
6. Immortal Hulk
The Immortal Hulk is a treasure and has been for the last three years since it started printing. Al Ewing and Joe Bennett's bold, horror laden approach to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's jade giant proved to be a major success in 2017, and has continued to wow readers in pretty much every issue since.
Ewing and Bennett's series has returned the Hulk to his Jekyll and Hyde roots, delving into the body horror aspects of the character but also the psychological terrors that lay underneath. 2020 has also seen the book pivot into different areas; while at the first the series dealt with creepy creatures from our own plane, this new Hulk has since taken on giant, Kaiju-esque terrors and even delved into the cosmic side of things.
Needless to say, it's pretty tremendous.
Sadly, Immortal Hulk is set to end with its 50th issue in 2021, but rest assured that Ewing and Bennett will have planned one heck of a concluding act.
