Los Amores, or Love Town, is a gritty glitzy city, filled with the highs of society and the corrupted lows of the underworld. To make the everyday crime seem like a cakewalk, there are also the Infected, who run the average supernatural entities like werewolves, ghouls and vampires.

Detective Allie Saxon is not only the first vampire on the force but the first woman. Things really get off to a bad start when Detective Saxon's first undercover operation involves a high profile murder with suspects that could ruin her burgeoning career.

John and Matthew Yuan have the starts of a pretty nifty urban fantasy crime thriller. The 1930s aesthetic mixed with the sleek black and white art style brings the noir elements to a head but the real star of this piece is the character of Allie Saxon.

Allie Saxon is a tough as nails detective with vampiric abilities, but instead of playing it in a standard, there's an added dimension of uncertainty in her inexperience. It adds a fantastic edge to this crime noir.
