10 Best Moments From Tom King's Batman

5. Bane Tearing Through Arkham

Batman Elmer Fludd
DC Comics

The I Am Bane storyline was determined to establish a few things. The first being Bruce Wayne's hilariously inept understanding of fast food, and the second being that Bane is nothing like Batman's other villains.

There are multiple ways in which it sought to accomplish this, one of which being to literally pit the brute against every currently alive Batman villain in a boss rush-esque gauntlet as he makes his way to break the caped crusader.

From the beginning with Maxie Zeus quoting Dante's Inferno, to crushing Solomon Grundy and Amygdala, to taking apart Mr. Freeze, Copperhead, and the Scarecrow at the same time, this whole issue is just one badass moment for Bane after another.

And the whole time, Bane is making it clear that he would rather be doing pretty much anything else than being here right now. He was done, out of the game, using the Pirate to get better, and Batman - whatever his good intentions - took that chance away from him.
