10 Best Moments From Tom King's Batman

6. Proposing To Selena

King's biggest mission statement when he was handed the keys to the Dark Knight was to actually take the character in a new direction, much in the same vein as Grant Morrison before him. And while that may not inspire confidence, considering how that ended for Morrison in the long run - the writer left to finish his story in a maxi-series separate to the main Bat-book - King has had more success than you might think.

Case in point, the moment that a lot of Batman fans had been waiting some time for. After a hectic series of story arcs, Batman has finally woken up and seen what a good thing for his life Selena would be, and pops the question. Though it takes a bit for her to answer, it's still a wonderfully sweet moment, especially since it's made clear that it's the same ring that Catwoman stole when she and Bruce first met, which he's been keeping as a memento of that day ever since.

Or is it? Since the narration features Catwoman distinctly recalling a very different first meeting between her and the caped crusader. But whichever one is true, the sweetness of the gesture is not lost.
