10 Best Robin Comics Of All Time
1. Robin: Year One
And here we have it, the comic that encompasses some of the best Robin moments of all time, Robin: Year One.
Written by Chuck Dixon, the novel looks back at Dick Grayson's early days as the boy wonder. The pages contain some fairly disturbing themes such as underage sex trafficking which takes an exceptional toll on Robin.
The book explores the mental toll vigilantism has on such a young mind as Dick is thrust into increasingly tough decisions. Even when he attempts to do the right thing he is constantly set back, not out of lack of bravery but simply because he is still young and new to being a hero.
It also sets the framework for what would eventually lead Dick to leave the Robin role behind and becoming Nightwing. Robin: Year One paints a much clearer picture of what it must have been like growing up with the often emotionally distant Bruce Wayne, and it isn't pretty.
