Make no mistake about it, Marvel’s First Family is one of the greatest teams in the history of comics. The Fantastic Four is made up by Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. Together, they have saved the world more times than anyone can count.

One of their biggest early story-arcs is known as The Galactus Trilogy. It involves their fight with the “Eater of Worlds” along with his herald and scout, the Silver Surfer.

Blessed with cosmic power, both were insanely tough to defeat, with the Fantastic Four nearly dying in their attempts to stop Galactus from eating Earth. Surfer’s betrayal of his master helped matters, however.

They have taken on several other top villains like the Beyonder, Fing Fang Foom, Puppet Master, Molecule Man, The Skrulls, Kang the Conqueror, and Annihilus among many others. They also did battle with then-villain and Marvel’s Atlantean King, Namor.

Namor the Submariner also has a thing for Sue Storm, which has caused some friction even with Namor being a superhero. However, their biggest villain is Doctor Doom, who also ranks among the greatest figures in the Marvel Universe.
