Spider-Man: Spider’s Shadow follows what could have been if the hero had become a monster. It’s a shocking, dark take on an alternate could-have-been story that fans of Spider-Man absolutely must read.

This version of Peter is affected by the symbiote suit and pushed further than ever before. After a battle with Hobgoblin, he snaps and murders the villain in cold blood. From then on he becomes feared by all his worst enemies who are determined to take him down, but also petrified to go near him.

As Peter struggles to escape from Venom, his friend Reed Richards comes to his rescue but the alien has other plans which rock the world and cause mass destruction.

It's an intriguing storyline putting Peter into the firing line as a villain - something that we saw previously in Superior Spider-Man when Doc Ock body swapped with Peter. This time, however, Peter is still mentally there, struggling to fight against Venom which makes it all the more terrifying.
