10 Best Superhero Bromances

8. Wolverine & Nightcrawler

If your familiarity with the X-Men mostly comes from the movies and TV shows, then you may not realize that two of the closest friends in the X-Men are actually Wolverine and Nightcrawler. Their friendship was mostly ignored in the TV shows (especially the 90s version as Nightcrawler only guest-starred in two episodes) and X2 had almost no interaction between the two characters (other than Logan cutting off Kurt€™s introduction). But in the comics, Wolverine and Nightcrawler were almost inseparable. It may seem like a bit of an odd couple match, and it was. Wolverine is perpetually in a foul mood and has little care for religion, while Nightcrawler is a swashbuckling optimist and a devout Catholic. A frequent scene was seeing Logan and Kurt sitting in Harry€™s Hideaway and sharing a few beers together while chatting. The 90s saw the characters separated into different books for a while, and a few years ago Nightcrawler was killed for little purpose. Writer Jason Aaron has now resurrected Nightcrawler in the pages of Amazing X-Men, and the book also features Wolverine as one of the main characters. We€™ve begun to see a bit of a return to form for both, and we can only hope Aaron continues to explore the relationship between these two X-Men.
