As we learned in The Dark Knight trilogy, the greatest chink in the Bat's armour (aside from Tom Hardy in a mask, doing stupid voices) is man's best friend. It's the whole reason for his armour upgrade in 'The Dark Knight', following the Scarecrow setting a pack of them on him in a car park. The final act of the film sees Heath Ledger's Joker setting yet more of them as they fight for Gotham's future. It's unsurprising, then, that Batman has fought the creatures on many an occasion. Admittedly, this was more of an occurrence during earlier comics (days when superheroes beating the hell out of animals was deemed more acceptable) but he still finds the time for it every now and then in Matt Wagner's Batman and The Mad Monk, for example, during which he has to dispatch a pair of vicious wolves in an equally vicious manner, first splattering them against a wall, then breaking the beasts' necks.
