10 Best Times Spider-Man Teamed Up

6. The League Of Realms

A recent addition to Spider-Man's roster of team ups, the League of Realms is something truly different to usual. In Spider-Man and the League of Realms #1, as part of the War of the Realms series, the web slinger is recruited by Thor to lead a group of cosmic beings consisting of a God, a dwarf, an elf, a troll, and a mountain giant.

And Spidey was asked to lead this team why?

Well, after Malekith the Accursed created a Dark Bifrost Bridge which allowed him to zip across to any of the realms, Midgard became the last realm for him to conquer. With the dark elf leading his forces to invade Earth, Spider-Man was one of many heroes to engage in the battle, and furthermore got asked by Thor to lead the inter-realm team because someone from Midgard should helm the group.

That still doesn't exactly explain why Thor thought Peter Parker was the best choice. Hell, even the blurb thought he was a terrible leader.

According to Thor, Peter's aversion to killing made him the perfect choice. And wouldn't you know it, his gamble paid off: in the midst of a fight around a church, the action stops for Spidey to dish out a bit of diplomacy, much to the chagrin of his otherworldly allies. It was a good change of pace from the typical team up brawling, all in all.
