10 Best Vampires In Comics

9. Morbius, The Living Vampire

Blade Vampires
Marvel Comics

When Doctor Michael Morbius attempts to cure himself of a lifelong blood disorder, he does so by introducing a little vampire bat to the serum.

Unfortunately, science in the Marvel universe being what it is (remember the thing with the radioactive spider?) Morbius succeeds only in turning himself into the creature we see before us now. Morbius, the Living Vampire.

Initially a recurring Spider-Man villain (first appearing in a 1971 issue of The Amazing Spider-Man), Morbius went on to lead a series of his own; a sympathetic antihero cursed with vampiric bloodlust and a really ugly face.

Inevitably, he would battle the likes of Blade, Doctor Strange and Dracula in his time, and remains a big player in Marvel's supernatural scene. Morbius is so popular, in fact, that he's getting his own (non-MCU) movie, featuring Jared Leto in the lead. Not bad, for a fake vampire.
