10 Best Variant Comic Book Covers You’ve Never Seen

4. Wolverine #1

Harley Quinn Dell'Otto
Marvel Comics

Dressing Wolverine in the costume made famous by the one guy that annoys the hell out of him above everyone else, is, quite frankly, a touch of genius. But what else would you expect from J. Scott Campbell?

More known for his interior work than anything else, the Marvel lifer steps outside of his comfort zone for this brilliant, if somewhat simplistic, cover. Though there really isn't a lot going on here - just Logan, claws drawn, stood in front of a black background, wearing Wade's cast off - it does lead to one question.

How did he get it?

Wolverine 1 Variant
Marvel Comics

Has he finally snapped, hunting Deadpool down before butchering him, sending his pieces off to the four corners of the earth, and just help himself to the familiar red and black? Or does he sneak into Wilson's home and rifle through his drawers until he finds what he's looking for?

No matter how he has managed to achieve the seemingly impossible, you can tell by the smug smirk on his face that he's very pleased with himself, and that he's possibly off to commit some identity theft.
