Then:

Willow began the series nursing an unrequited crush on Xander, her best friend since the first day of kindergarten. Her first serious relationship was with werewolf guitarist Oz. During one of his wolf nights, his animalistic urges led to him cheating on Willow with fellow werewolf Veruca. By the time Oz regained control of his wolf side, Willow had already fallen for practising witch Tara. This became the defining relationship in Willow’s TV arc.

Willow’s sexuality is revealed during small talk about witches. Willow discusses the existence of “beautiful, kind, sensitive, smart” witches. To which Buffy replies “Don’t you have a girlfriend?”

Her girlfriend Rose, a punk rocker with an affinity for the colour purple, seems like the ideal match. However, pre-Buffy and post-Buffy Willow are vastly different people. Taking a share of the fate of her friends, Sunnydale, and the world, how much time does Willow have left for love?
