10 Characters Who Have Defeated Apocalypse

Occurring in an alternate timeline, the Magneto of this world is the founder of the X-Men instead of Charles Xavier. This came about because Legion, Xavier's son in the future, goes into the past to try and kill Magneto before he could become the antagonist that believes in human and mutant segregation.

However, the problem with this plan is that it takes place at a time when Xavier and Magneto are still friends, and so when Legion attempts to kill Magneto, Xavier intervenes and saves his best friend by sacrificing himself. The sacrifice causes a distressed Magneto to seek out and realize Xavier's dream of human and mutant coexistence in his stead.

Without Xavier to challenge him, in this timeline Apocalypse manages to take control of the world and subjugates the remaining population into concentration camps as a way to realize his mantra of "survival of the fittest".

As this goes on the only pockets of resistance against the mutant conqueror are the X-Men and they are spread thin all over the world in trying to do their best to resist the mutant overlord.

In an epic final confrontation that involves a lot of deaths on both sides, Magneto manages to send the mutant Bishop back in time to undo Legion's actions while he goes up against Apocalypse. By generating a large magnetic force, he literally tears Apocalypse apart and the battle ends.
