6. Ultimate Rick Jones
Following the events of the Age of Ultron storyline, Galactus was ripped from the Earth-616 dimension and thrown into the Ultimate Universe of Earth-1610. His doppelganger of this parallel realm, the Gah Lak Tus swarm, attempted to overtake him. But the cunning Destroyer of Worlds turned the tables and made this being his ward.
Armed with a servant of destruction basically as powerful as him, it was hard to imagine any force in all of the Marvel multi-verse being able to take down this new double dose of world devourers. But one thing the World Eater didn't know was there was a new Captain Marvel in Earth-1610.
The Hulk's buddy Rick Jones is a powerless man in Earth-616. But in Earth-1610 he takes over the Captain Marvel mantle from Captain Mahr Vehl, giving him some serious powers. With his newfound cosmic abilities and a weapon specifically engineered to stop Gah Lak Tus, his encounter with the world eating duo is one epic battle.
Jones's incredible efforts result in some serious damage to Galactus. The big evildoer was nearly blown in half thus separating him from his Earth-1610 doppelganger. Ultimate Rick Jones saved the Ultimate Universe and left the Planet Killer immensely weak.
