10 Classic Villains Reimagined By Batman '66

9. Hugo Strange

Batman 66 Harley Quinn
DC Comics

From the twisted professor responsible for creating the monster men, to psychotic psychologist intent on uncovering the Dark Knight's true identity, Hugo Strange is another of those characters that has evolved alongside DC over the years.

The '66 Hugo Strange is a psychiatrist who works at the Arkham Institute and takes over from Dr. Holly Quinn as director following her unfortunate accident.

It isn't until the cross-over comic Batman Meets The Man From U.N.C.L.E. that his true criminal nature is revealed, though! Turns out Strange was actually the mysterious Corvid, and he tries to brainwash our heroes to join his cause, not for world domination, but for world "unification!"

Hugo also appears in the Batman Vs. Two-Face animated movie, voiced by Jim Ward. In that story, Strange is responsible for Two-Face's origin, scaring half his face with an Evil Extractor machine.
