10 Comic Book Characters Every Reader Wants To Be
1. Wonder Woman Some people might find it odd that Diana of Themyscira, Amazon princess and all-round demi-goddess is on top of a list of comic book characters that fans wish they could be. To them, Id simply say this is Wonder Woman. Shes the most important woman in comics, a feminist role model, and (written properly), is one of the most powerful super heroes in the DC Universe. Of course she belongs on top of the list. Where Superman can be considered a bit of a boy scout, Diana is a warrior, unafraid of getting her hands dirty. Where Batman is a driven obsessive, Wonder Woman is a regal, compassionate advocate for peace and bringing mankind together. Shes royalty and shes a woman of the people she doesnt just have the complete respect of the superhero community, but (as Blue Beetle once pointed out) everyone, even Batman, actually likes her. Wonder Woman is also literally the most beautiful woman in the world. Thats not hyperbole, and its not dependent on who draws her. Thats actually part of her job description. So, just to recap shes one of DCs Holy Trinity of classic characters, a female empowerment icon for decades, powerful on a level with Superman, Shazam, the Martian Manhunter et al, and the fiercest, kindest, most indomitable woman in the entire DC Universe, a living embodiment of virtue, beauty, courage and strength.
