6. Sabretooth
Wolverine's arch-nemesis and most recurring foe is Victor Creed, who is better-known as Sabretooth. Despite being bitter rivals for over a century, they used to work together as mercenaries. When Logan met a woman called Silver Fox, he abandoned his evil lifestyle and fled to Canada to have a normal life.
Feeling betrayed, Wolverine's boss ordered Sabretooth to find him. He located Wolverine, tortured him, and violated Silver Fox before killing her. Sabretooth said this was Wolverine's "birthday present" and he would inflict indescribable pain upon him emotionally and physically on his birthday every year for the rest of his life.
For the next few decades, Sabretooth was true to his word. Every "birthday", he tracks down Wolverine and batters him to the brink of death. Not only that, he maims or kills any of Wolverine's friends if they happen to be with him on this day. If you think Wolverine can just hide, guess again. Since Sabretooth is the world's best tracker, he will ALWAYS find Wolverine.
Sabretooth may not be Wolverine's most powerful foe but he is definitely his most personal. There is nothing in life that brings Sabretooth more joy than witnessing Wolverine in pain.
