10 Comic Book Characters Who Have Killed Gods

After Darkseid was reborn as an infant, his daughter Grail takes him back to Earth Prime, where she intends to return him to his most powerful form. She systematically then begins to kill the children of Zeus so she could use their life force to increase Darkseid's own life force.

Wonder Woman herself becomes involved after she begins to investigate the death of Heracles (who was also killed by Grail). In a complicated turn of events, though, Diana’s twin brother, Jason, who she had previously thought to be an ally, later turns on her and gives her over to Grail.

Zeus later would intervene as an attempt to save Diana and kill Darkseid once and for all. Unfortunately, though, this is exactly what Darkseid needs to reach his full potential- where ends up killing Zeus mid-battle. In the aftermath, Darkseid takes Zeus' life force and finally reaches his full potential as an adult- thus reclaiming his status as a new god, and more importantly, as a major DC villain.
