3. Black Blot Kills Apocalypse
The reality-altering plot of House of M incorporates a subplot where
Magneto seeks to attack Wakanda with the help of Apocalypse. In this story, the mutant Storm (who is now the
queen of Wakanda) initially garners the attention of Magneto, after publicly criticizing him on live television.
Magneto then responds to this by hiring Sabretooth to kill Black Panther as a warning to Storm. Black Panther gets the drop on Sabretooth, however, and ends up killing him, instead. Now completely fed up, Magneto then decides to take a direct approach by recruiting Apocalypse to invade Wakanda.
Black Panther expects as much, though, and retaliates by recruiting an even stronger opponent to defend his kingdom: Black Bolt. When Apocalypse finally does reach Black Bolt, by then it is already too late, and he is instantly killed by the mere whisper of Black Bolt's incredibly devastating voice.
