10 Comic Book Characters Who Have Killed Gods

The follow-up to the series- Death of the New Gods -is the seven-part event called Final Crisis. Here, several spirits belonging to the evil New Gods of Apokolips set into a motion a plan for Darkseid’s return to power on Earth. Many assume the bodies of several humans and metahumans alike to go about their plans in secret- where they ultimately intend to spread the Anti-life equation world-wide.

Even though they do succeed in doing this, heroes of the Justice League nevertheless begin to develop a plan of attack that would revoke the equation's influence. Batman himself, however, has plans of his own, where, after being initially captured by Darkseid's forces, he is then close enough to actually kill Darkseid.

Using a Radion bullet (a substance which is toxic to New Gods), Batman manages to fatally shoot Darkseid, before he quickly retaliates by using his Omega beams to supposedly kill Batman. This apparent failure turns out to be a success story in the end, however, when the Black Racer is directly led through the speed force to Darkseid.
