10 Comic Book Heroes Definitely Stronger Than The Hulk
2. The Spectre And The Presence
The Spectre's powers have varied somewhat over the course of his publishing history, but he's still not someone the Hulk or anyone wants to go toe to toe with. For one thing, you can't smash what's already dead, and one aspect of the Spectre is his departed human host, whether that's Jim Corrigan, Hal Jordan or Crispus Allen. For another, the rest of the Spectre is basically the personification of God's Wrath, and anyone who meets a force like that and tries to punch it is going to die, probably in a macabre EC Comics-like way, and then get sent to Hell. The Spectre gets his marching orders from the Presence, which is basically Jehovah as a yellow dot, and if anyone could stop the Hulk from ending this fight as a gamma-irradiated steakburger, it would be the Presence's intervention. On the other hand, if the Presence itself got into a fight with the Hulk... it wouldn't be so much a fight as the Presence merely deciding the Hulk should no longer exist, and then him not existing.
