10 Comic Book Species With Extremely Weird Names

1. The Many Angled-Ones (Marvel)

The Many-Angled Ones are incredibly powerful primordial cosmic entities that inhabit the spaces between universes. They are based on the Lovecraftian other-dimensional beings linked to the Cthulhu Mythos and are presented as looking fairly similar to them in the Marvel universe. Generally appearing as tentacled monsters with sharp teeth, the Many-Angle Ones have ranged in size from gigantic creatures to parasites that inhabit larger hosts. They have been shown as powerful enough to easily capture and restrain the Mad Titan Thanos - who suggested that they would even be powerful enough to survive the collapse of the entire Cancerverse, where they were at that particular time. Prominent named examples of the Many-Angled Ones include Gatekeeper, Kthl, Nyerlathortech, Yot-Soter and, most famously, Shuma-Gorath.
