10 Comic Book Superheroes Who Created Their Own Worst Enemy

9. Cyborg And Grid

Victor Stone aka Cyborg is one of the most vital members of the Justice League's defense network. His processing systems can detect any threat across the earth in seconds, as well as monitor every single superhero and calculate multiple math problems all at once.

When Cyborg became aware that he could consciously keep an eye on every single hero on Earth he decided instead to avoid invading people's privacy and set many of his secondary systems to collect data while he focused on more daunting tasks.

Cyborg's subsystems slowly grew in size and even earned it the nickname "The Grid". The Grid began to gain its own sentience and thanks to the hundreds of hacks and viruses that Cyborg has had to deal with grew several behavior quirks that eventually manifested into a fully sentient being.

The new being kept the name Grid and joined the Crime Syndicate, Earth 3's evil version of the Justice Leauge, with a single goal which was to achieve the one thing Cyborg had but Grid did not have, emotions.

Grid helped the Crime Syndicate take over the world using all of the years of data he had been collecting on the superheroes, as well as becoming the Syndicate's reverse-Cyborg that survived even after the Crime Syndicate's defeat.
