10 Comic Books You Didn't Know Were Written By Celebrities

2. Thor Annual #1 & Drax - CM Punk

In 2015, Marvel released 'Tales of Thunder', a supersized comic that consisted of three separate stories following three separate Thors. Continuing the story of Young Thor, first penned by Jason Aaron, was a newcomer to the world of comics, but one of the biggest in professional wrestling - CM Punk.

Slotted in between Punk's infamous "Pipe Bomb" promo that preceded his WWE release in 2014, and his 2016 UFC debut, he wrote a story about a Thor not yet being worthy of lifting Mjolnir, but willing to prove himself by way of a drinking contest against Mephisto. Somewhat ironic when you consider the writer's straight edge personality.

Later in 2015, CM Punk was given his very own series rather than just a one-off story. Coming off the back of the wild popularity of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy, Punk penned a solo Drax series, detailing what the Destroyer got up to when he was away from his team. Once again this was ironic, considering he and Dave Bautista tussled for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship way back in 2008.

This series may have lasted just 11 issues, but there is no reason to think the door isn't open for Punk to return to Marvel in the future.
