10 Comic Characters Who STOLE Batman's Identity

What a brilliant show Batman Beyond was. The natural progression and continuation from the original Batman The Animated Series was pure genius.

With many of his old allies either dead or retired, Bruce Wayne was still too stubborn to give up the Batman mantle. Following a heart attack, Bruce almost resorted to using lethal force on a bad guy with none other than Joe Chill's gun.

Meanwhile, Terry is a young student with a righteous attitude and delinquent tendencies that got caught up with a gang called the Jokerz. The crazed individuals chased Terry who sought refuge in Wayne Manor where an aged and grumpy Bruce helped fend off the would-be clown princes.

Following the conflict, Terry accidentally stumbles across the Batcave but is kicked out for being nosey. Upon returning home, however, Terry discovers his father had been murdered by the Jokerz. In a rage, he breaks back into the Batcave and steals a new high-tech version of the Batsuit that Bruce had been working on.

After much deliberation between the two, Terry was allowed to keep the suit provided that Bruce remains in control back in the cave. The two would eventually become one of Gotham's finest duos since Batman and Robin first burst onto the scene.
