Quick, name two things that Thanos loves more than anything else in the Universe. If you said the Infinity Stones and Death, you'd be right. While MCU Thanos is all about 'balance', the reason the Mad Titan of comic book lore is so set on wiping out half of the universe is to woo Death, in her female embodiment. Enter the Merc with the Mouth, who tried to steal both from Thanos, in one of the most unlikely rivalries in all of comics-dom.

After being hired by Thanos to steal the Cosmic Cube (see: Deadpool #45), Deadpool used the artefact to steal his beloved Infinity Gauntlet - blasting him to shreds, and then using the Gauntlet to set up a... comedy roast.
