8. Wolverine Vs The Punisher
Not one to let things lie, Wolverine sought out revenge in Frank Tieri's run on the character.
Fighting in a closed shopping mall, the pair went at each other, no holds barred, trading both insults and (in Frank's case) bullets. This being Wolverine's book though, Logan beat Frank to within an inch of his life, throwing him through a window and mocking him, semi-conscious and prone on the ground.
With what, you ask? The gay porn magazine which happened to fall out of Frank's bag during the fight. Real classy, Tieri, responding to Ennis's perceived insult on the character with a spot of non-too subtle homophobia.
It takes a lot to make edgelord mode Garth Ennis look like the bigger man, but Tieri pulled it off with aplomb.
