Death Toll: Tens of Millions

The Mutants of the Marvel Universe are some of the most powerful beings on Earth, but when you get right down to it, they are little more than the targets of persecution, segregation, and prejudice. In a chilling allegory for real-life persecution, that prejudice led several people with a great deal of power to launch the Sentinel Program.

Originally, Sentinels were meant to find Mutants among the population and arrest them. They were meant to remove them from the population and segregate them solely for the way they were born. You can't get more prejudiced than that, and one of the main people behind the whole initiative was a fellow named Bolivar Trask.

Trask was a weapons designer who created the Sentinels and who went about the world causing all sorts of trouble for the Mutant population. Initially, they didn't kill anyone, but there are two instances where they caused all sorts of mayhem.

In the Days of Future Past storyline, they were responsible for a massive genocide of Mutants as well as humans who could pass on the Mutant gene. As that timeline isn't within the main Marvel continuity, the focus on Sentinel killings falls on the time Trask's creation slaughtered the population of Genosha, totaling some 16,521,618 Mutant deaths.
