10 Comic Villains You Didn't Realise Actually Won

7. Joker - Batman: White Knight

Injustice 2 Darkseid
DC Comics

When the (mostly) reformed Jack Napier reverts back to being the Joker at the end of the White Knight series, you expect the stab-happy circus performer to be a little peeved. After all, forcibly gaining his sanity for a while seems very much like a joke that's on him - and if there's one thing the Clown Prince of Crime isn't about, it's being made into the butt of a joke.

But when you look at it from the Joker's perspective, his time as the reformed Jack Napier only helped him in his many sketchy goals. Not only has he managed to sink his claws back into his first Harley Quinn, but he's also gained the sympathies of the Dark Knight, meaning that he can bank on using their newly found empathy for him against them.

This explains why the purple and green clad comedian seems so jovial when he regains control of his body - well, that and the fact that his whole shtick is grinning at inappropriate moments.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
