6. Kyle Rayner Created The New 52

When The Flash, Barry Allen, went back in time to stop the Reverse-Flash from killing his mother, he inadvertently screwed up the timeline. When he tried to fix it, he created a rebooted version of DC Comics called The New 52.

Or so it would seem. Readers considered there could be another person who was responsible for remaking the DC Universe. But who could have the power to do that? The Spectre? The Anti-Monitor? Telos?

As comic fans debated on Reddit and DC forums, one name kept coming up; the fifth Green Lantern, Kyle Rayner... (or maybe he's the fourth one... I can't remember).

When the New 52 was published, every comic was rebooted EXCEPT Green Lantern. Why would Green Lantern be the only story to be rebooted unless they were in control of it? Also, Rayner once became Ion; a being that could alter time and space. During the New 52, Rayner showed godlike powers by passing through The Source Wall; a feat which was considered impossible.

That may sound like a compelling case but it isn't true. In the Doomsday Clock series, it was revealed that the New 52 was created by Doctor Manhattan from the Watchmen series. Speaking of...
