10 Comics Panels Where You Really Didn't Want To Turn The Next Page

The most important event to disrupt the DC Universe was the "Crisis on Infinite Earths." The event was designed to completely overhaul the DC Universe, which had become bloated with multiverse realities, making it difficult to manage and follow. There are distinct differences between the Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis Universes, so it was a pretty big deal when it happened.

In the eighth issue of the series, something unthinkable happened to one of the most beloved characters in all of DC Comics. Barry Allen, the fastest man alive, had to run faster than he'd ever run before, or the Anti-Monitor would have destroyed the Multiverse.

Barry ran so fast, he managed to outrun an energy beam, which resulted in its destruction, but it also prematurely aged him.

Of course, the reader doesn't know that just yet when they get to this page, which shows him running and recalling various events as his face becomes wrinkled.

The final panel is the hardest to look at, as it shows the Flash screaming "Help... Someone... Anyone... Please..." If you had the courage to flip the page to see what happened, it wasn't pretty. Barry aged into dust, as panel after panel collapsed into the background, leaving the fastest man alive dead.
