Judge Dredd: The Cursed Earth is an especially unusual comic in terms of mocking its readers, as it focuses around one interesting little point: that of fast food.

Because a portion of its story revolves around the 'Burger Wars', in a satire of the Cola Wars between Pepsi and Coca-Cola, intended to mock the extreme lengths big corporations are willing to go to to protect their own money-making interests.

While this is all well and good, the tone gets weirdly abrasive towards to reader, as it routinely mocks the customers of these establishments, considering them mindless slaves who are willing to have their freedoms restricted just to have that sweet sweet Big Mac.

In short, Judge Dredd thinks we're all worms for enjoying a McFlurry, and we're each going to have to deal with this in our own way.
