10 Comics Villains Humiliated By The Joker

3. Lex Luthor

The DC Animated Universe provided as fine a Joker as we ever got in Mark Hamill's cackling, unpredictable portrayal. Contrast that with the smooth, measured tones of Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor and you have an animated villain dream match.

In the DCAU movie 'World's Finest', Joker and Luthor start out in a team up to take on Batman and Superman. Joker decides he wants to match wits with another hero for a bit and makes an offer to Lex to kill Superman for him. Lex takes him up on this, putting both Superman and Batman into a bind - Superman has no idea how to fight a psycho like the Joker and Batman is faced with a Joker who now has the resources of Lexcorp.

After a series of misadventures, Luthor predictably double-crosses Joker and threatens to kill both him and Harley. Joker manages to turn the tables and capture Lex and his assistant Mercy before telling Lex he is going to take his revenge by destroying both Lexcorp and Metropolis.

Much to his chagrin, Lex is rescued by the heroes, loses an airship, Bruce terminates a multi-billion dollar partnership with Lex, and Joker gets away.

Bad day at the office.
