10 Comics Villains Who Secretly Mirrored The Hero
1. Taskmaster / Anyone He Wants
Okay, we're definitely cheating with this one. But you simply can't have a definitive list of villains who mirror comic book heroes without including the ultimate master of mirroring: Taskmaster.
Although you may not have heard of Taskmaster, he only has a few short months left to enjoy his obscurity before his notoriety shoots up in a big way. As it looks like he's going to be the main villain of both the Black Widow movie and the Avengers video game, it won't be long until everyone is very familiar with Tony Masters.
He may look like the only hero he's mirroring is Skulduggery Pleasant, but Taskmaster's "photographic reflexes" mean he can perfectly mirror anybody he sets his eyes on. In layman's terms, if Taskmaster sees somebody doing something, he immediately knows how to do the exact same thing without practice.
Let's put this in practice with some of the heroes we've already seen on this list:
If Taskmaster sees Spider-Man displaying his world-class gymnastics, he can immediately flip around with world-class gymnastics of his own.
If he sees Kick-Ass absolutely whale on a mugger with his batons, he will know his baton whaling technique down to a tee.
If he sees Dennis the Menace slingshot a tomato at Walter the Softy, you just know Taskmaster is going to be expertly catapulting fruit at Softies all day long.
Long story short: show this villain a hero, and he will mirror the heck out of them.
