Avengers: Infinity War ended with a catastrophic event that rocked the MCU, both on Earth and all throughout the cosmos. It is safe to say that Endgame will do the same, so in preparation of this highly anticipated occasion, it may be fitting to look at another cosmic event that rocked the Marvel universe.

Annihilation was yet another outing that saw a threat that was so devastating that, in order to save the day, both good and evil would have to work together to stop Annhilus, who emerges from the Negative Zone and unleashes the monstrous Annihilation wave.

There has been speculation that Annilihus could be the mysterious new threat that has been described as worse than Thanos in the upcoming film, so this is a perfect way to get familiar with him if he does, in fact, make his triumphant debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This story has a lot of great characters in it including Silver Surfer and Galactus, who are set to join the MCU in the near future. If there already wasn't enough reasons to check it out, this is also the comic that reintroduced the Guardians of the Galaxy to the world.
