6. Kang The Conqueror (Marvel Comics)

Marvel ComicsKang the Conqueror's costume coolness is less about what it looks like and more about what it can do. That said, in spite of the fact that it looks a little bit like a classic old deep sea diving costume ("vintage chic", one might say), it does have a hint of regality about it thanks to the deep purple and dark green colour scheme and, aside from the diving helmet, it does scream "supervillain". That said, as we've already touched upon, this costume is more about functionality than aesthetics and it really does deliver on that front. For starters, that goofy helmet? It protects him from mind-probing in the same way Magneto's does and has an in-built gadget that would allow Kang to transfer his consciousness in to another body at the moment of his death - but it's the rest of the outfit that houses the real power. Kang can erect a forcefield, using his in-built gadgets, that will comfortably block shots from Mjolnir. He can use basic teleportation, as well as dimensional and time-travel facilities with his suit. It also has energy based powers than can act offensively - firing his own energy blasts - or repel various energy types back at his opponents, such as the time Merlin attacked him and his own magic was repelled back against him. We've barely touched the surface there, but you get the drift.
