Originally appearing in 1959, the first Mirror Master was Sam Scudder - a common criminal who used mirrors, holograms, and optical technology to antagonise the Flash.

However, a deadlier version of the character first appearing in the 1989 Animal Man run proceeded to become a more vicious threat to the Scarlet Speedster.

Evan McCulloch, a Scottish mercenary, became the new Mirror Master after discovering a Mirror Dimension he could use to commit crimes. Having trained as an assassin who carried out hits on politicians, superheroes, and even his own parents, McCulloch took on the new identity to cause even more bloodshed.

Now able to travel through reflective surfaces via the Mirror Dimension, McCulloch became nearly impossible to catch - even for the Fastest Man Alive.

Arming himself with laser weapons, holograms, and Mirror Dimension technology, McCulloch became a consistent enemy to the Wally West iteration of the Flash, even helping to murder Bart Allen.

The original Sam Scudder version of Mirror Master has appeared in both the nineties Flash TV series and the CW show, but the Scottish hitman is yet to make an appearance. However, a gender-swapped version of the character, Eva McCulloch, appears in the show's sixth season as a major enemy to Team Flash.
