10 Doctor Strange Fates Worse Than Death

8. Turning Into A Werewolf

Doctor Strange Death
Marvel Comics

Depending on what you're watching or reading, turning into a werewolf can either be a really sweet deal, or it could be the most horrific thing that could ever happen to anyone. In the Underworld movies, Lycans are super-powered and immortal, so long as they aren't killed, but in most fiction, werewolf curses suck.

That's how it plays out in the Marvel Universe, and believe it or not, there was once a time when the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth found himself completely out of control as a werewolf. The whole thing came about via a Spider-Man crossover when the web-head finds himself fighting a werewolf.

The werewolf looked a bit like Doctor Strange, so Spidey whoops his furry butt and takes him to the Master of the Mystic Arts. Unfortunately, Doctor Strange was nowhere to be found at his Greenwich Village home, so it doesn't take too long before the truth comes out.

Clea uses the Eye of Agamotto to determine that the werewolf was her lover, who was cursed by a group of Tibetan monks. It takes some time and a lot of property damage, but eventually, the curse is broken. The whole event was strange, and clearly, it wasn't fun for Dr. Strange.
