Back in July 2019, a new superhero took to the skies of New York to help in a battle with an alien threat.
Captain Marvel #8 saw the titular character fall from grace as the media vilify her after discovering her Kree origins. As Carol hits rock bottom - her powers failing, the public against her - a new hero rises up to be the new champion for the people of New York City.
But all is not as it seems, as the hero in question, Star (helped by Minn-Erva), is actually siphoning power from Danvers with nothing but sinister intentions. The Falling Star arc leaves the mysterious villain defeated, locked up in The Raft and stripped of the siphon that gave her power. However that's not the end of her story. The final page reveals Star has the reality stone inside of her, leaving her more powerful than ever.
Star's own run picks up where this arc left off, but will she return to play the hero, or will she continue her evil ways?
Star #1 hits shelves 8th January.
