10 Most Expensive Comic Books Ever Sold

4. Batman #1

Sold for: $567,625.00CGC: 9.2 Not actually the first appearance of the Caped Crusader, but a landmark issue regardless, Batman #1 certainly earned its pedigree and asking price: after quickly revising Bruce Wayne's tragic origin story, we move onto the very first appearance of his greatest enemy, The Joker, along with embryonic debuts of Arkham Asylum (then unnamed) and Catwoman (then called The Cat). This Batman #1 was the highest-graded copy CGC had ever come across and got up to its record-breaking price after a fierce bidding war in August of 2013. Would definitely be a talking point regardless of the price. But the price especially.
