10 Franchises Kept Alive By Comic Books

6. James Bond

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Comic
Dynamite Comics

Another franchise that isn't necessarily dead, the Bond comics have rather continued to expand the legacy of the eponymous spy.

Set in their own continuity Dynamite Comics' series began in 2015, to coincide with the release of Spectre, and since then the book has given Bond fans a great way to pass the time until the 25th film releases.

The initial arc centred around a smaller scale tale (in comparison to Bond's usual shenanigans), with MI6 tasking the spy with taking down a European drug ring after the previous agent on the case is found dead.

As well as the main series, Dynamite has began publishing other books set in the Bond-verse, the characters Felix Leiter and Moneypenny both receiving their own individual titles, making the world of the hero feel a little bit more alive.
