Ever since the series' hiatus in 2015, comic books (published by Titan) have filled the stabby gap in the market that the absence of the games provided, continuing to do so even now with last year's Origins and the upcoming Odessey.

As well as providing fans with stories featuring their favourite assassins (and Connor) from the main games, the books also serve to rejuvenate the modern day world of the AC universe, the recent games lacking the same past-present dynamic that Desmond's story entailed.

Furthermore, the books have given fans a glimpse into the lives of assassins from time periods not yet fully explored in the games, such as the brotherhood active during World War 2 seen in the 'Conspiracies' book.
