Imagining the Dennis the Menace level havoc any human armed with a toy grenade that makes a realistic explosion noise could create is somewhere between concerning and really, really fun. Trying to imagine any scenario where this toy doesn’t get you in some level of trouble, however – from the people you live with if no-one else – is low key impossible.

While obviously nobody can pose a threat with a fake grenade, there’s still the potential for someone to see what looks like an actual grenade and then promptly lose their actual mind.

Given that the majority of kids are perfectly happy to pretend pinecones are grenades, buying them a toy that has a chance to get them put on the neighbourhood watch list seems a little overkill.
