10 Funniest Comic Advertisements

8. Genuine Soil from Dracula's Castle

Snickers Doomsday Ad
Warren Publishing Company

You just know without a shadow of a doubt that this advert created a whole lot of Goths, a whole bunch of fights over whether it was legit, and a whole bunch of concerned parents wondering why their kid would possibly want soil from a vampire’s home.

But it does corner a genius section of the mysterious comic ad market. After all, how is someone going to prove where a bunch of soil is from? Unless you accidentally end up crossing some ungodly skilled soil analyst, it’s more or less a safe bet that you can send a bunch of garden dirt to folks for easy monetary gain.

Despite all this, it’s equally funny to imagine that some trepid explorer actually did find Dracula’s castle, and is desperately trying to convince the public through soil samples. Either way, it’s one of the more eccentric comic ads, although nowhere near the most.
